What it checks
- Phone numbers, emails and social handles in the text. Google's posts policy says it may remove posts with unverified contact details and suggests the Call now button instead, which uses your verified number.
- Web addresses in the text. Google lets an update carry a button (Book, Order, Learn more, Sign up) that links to your site. Put the link there.
- ALL CAPS, piles of exclamation marks, lots of emojis or hashtags. Google's posting tips ask for professional posts without extra characters or distracting content.
- Length. Flags anything over 1,500 characters (the widely reported limit; Google's help pages don't publish a number) and anything too short to be useful.
- A clear next step and your town or service area, so nearby customers know what to do and that you work where they live.
- Big claims and deals. A reminder to keep only claims you can back up, and to use Google's Offer post type (title plus start and end dates) for a real, dated deal.
